How retrowrap.de handles your data — which is to say, it doesn’t.
No data collection on this site
This website is a static one-pager that exists only to introduce the open-source RetroWrap project and host a download link. There is:
- no analytics and no tracking pixels
- no cookies beyond a single
retro_darkkey inlocalStoragethat remembers your theme preference - no third-party scripts, fonts or CDNs — Tailwind and the Phosphor icon set are bundled and served from this domain
- no contact forms, sign-up flows or user accounts
Server logs
The web server that serves this page may record standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent) for a short period for operational reasons — e.g. diagnosing outages or blocking abuse. These logs are never shared with third parties and are rotated/deleted on a schedule by the hosting provider.
When you self-host RetroWrap
Downloading and installing RetroWrap on your own infrastructure is a separate thing: the app runs on your server, stores its data in a SQLite file on your server, and is not connected to this site in any way. The app ships with its own privacy.php note explaining what data it stores locally — you decide who has access, how long it’s kept, and how it’s backed up.
